My translations
My main areas of expertise are medicine and health, but I also translate texts in music, horses and equestrian sports, popular science and general texts. I also take on proofreading commissions in Swedish.
Some examples of text types that I have worked with are: product information according to the European Medicines Agency (EMA), pharmaceutical study documentation, press releases, informative texts, directions for use and journal articles.
Education & Background
Master of Arts degree, major subject English, Växjö University, Sweden 2006. Included in the MA is a Master's course in Translation, English-Swedish. I chose to perform one term of the English studies at UWA, the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
University Certificate in General Nursing at Kalmar University College of Health & Caring Sciences, Sweden 1996
Medical Secretary at Stagneliusskolan, Kalmar, Sweden 1992
Besides the United Kingdom, I have lived in Israel, the USA and India. These stays abroad have given me cultural experiences, as well as deeper language skills.
